5 Things I Learned This Month

  1. Steven Kron is now the International Sales Director at AJ Fernandez Cigars. As part of this change, as of 9/1/2019 AJF started handling all their own sales directly and were no longer a part of the NyB distribution network.
  2. Whiskey can go bad! Once you’ve opened your bottle of Scotch or Bourbon and exposed it to air, after a time it can make it taste differently! Luckily this seemingly not an overnight nor quick exchange and I’ve never managed to hold onto a bottle of opened whiskey long enough to notice this ever happening.
  3. Bonnie Parker of Bonnie and Clyde fame was a poet! A handwritten book of poetry was up for an RR Auction on 9/28/2019. Bonnie and Clyde were shot to death by lawmen in Louisiana in 1934 following a massive manhunt.
  4. Scandinavia is apparently the place to be for whisky innovation right now!
  5. The third 5th generation Quesada family member has resigned from the company in the span of 18 months. Patricia Quesada recently resigned to concentrate on her masters degree. She follows the resignations of Terence Reilly and Hostos Fernandez Quesada last year.
