The Guardian of the Farm Nightwatch is an unassuming looking Lonsdale if ever I’ve seen one. Yet this release from Aganorsa with a shade grown Corojo Maduro has been much anticipated. This blend is the brainchild of Max Fernandez and features Nicaraguan based Aganorsa Leaf.
It looks beautifully oily and there are a few noticeable veins. There are two bands. The top has the Guardian of the Farm logo in white in gold and the bottom is in red and gold highlighting that it’s the Nightwatch. It pays a beautiful tribute to our four legged friends and guardians of the leaf.
It’s firm to the touch but not packed too tightly. It smells like coffee and chocolate. It doesn’t disappoint whatsoever. There’s a sweetness to the cigar and it tastes of cinnamon and wood with a hint of pepper. The smoke is ample and it lingers with a sweetness. The flavor profile opens up in the second third to coffee and nuts with a taste of pepper. It gets creamy into the final third but continues with its consistent coffee and nutty taste.
The abundance of flavor is pleasant and consistent from beginning to end. It’s been a while since I’ve smoked such a lovely new cigar and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves a robust and full bodied cigar.

This may sound like the dumbest question ever, but how deeply do you inhale a cigar? I know they are different than smoking cigarettes, but am a little unsure as to how.
Any questions are welcome here! With cigars you absorb nicotine through the mucus membrane lining the mouth so you don’t actually inhale the smoke into your lungs. Traditionally, you take a puff and let the taste linger in your mouth, then exhale the smoke.
